On June 20, 2024, the transfer of a plot of land with an ancient building to Fundación Pasos de Luz was approved for the execution of the construction project of a comprehensive support center for children and adolescents with autism, Down syndrome, and their families, by the GADM of Sucre in Bahía de Caráquez.
This center, which Fundación Pasos de Luz plans to develop, aims to serve not only the Sucre canton in Manabí but also neighboring cantons and rural areas where access to accurate information about these conditions and to therapeutic services is scarce or non-existent.
