On May 15 we held our free talk for parents and teachers, “Beyond Labels,” on inclusion and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and ADHD. The session was led by educational psychologist Carmen Betancourt and psychologist Emilia Cisneros, who—drawing on their personal and professional experience with children with these conditions—presented a more holistic way of understanding autism and ADHD: the social and institutional barriers faced by children and parents, and practical strategies to promote inclusion in classrooms and the wider community.
